PatientSoft has a fully featured prescribing function that allows the practitioner to select all approved PBS drugs and then electronically generate a prescription for the patient. All prescriptions are stored in the patient clinical record and are easily accessible for review and repeat prescriptions as required. A summary of all patient prescriptions issued can be generated by the practitioner using the following filters (date range; location; referring doctor; patient name; practitioner; item number code; drug reference number). If the practitioner so chooses the specific diagnosis of the patient in each case can be coded and displayed within this summary.
