PatientSoft has a fully integrated digital voice dictation and voice recording capability. It can be operated either by a standard headphone and microphone along with a mouse or alternatively the user can connect a Philips speech microphone via a USB port. All voice files remain attached to the patient file until deleted and so can be accessed by on-site typing staff or external typing services via the web. Voice files can also be replayed to patients via standard speaker system.
