NEHTA
rxhealthcare supports the SNOWMED initiatives being espoused by the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA). The goal of providing all healthcare stakeholders including practitioners, patients, policy makers and medical researchers a basis for sharing data in a meaningful way is aligned with our own corporate mission. rxhealthcare is a member of the NEHTA community of interest and has designed the capability to accommodate SNOWMED into all its products and services.
ICD 10
rxhealthcare has designed all its products to accommodate the ICD 10 coding protocol into all its products and services.
HL-7
HL-7: Health Level 7 refers to an international health care standards organization known as Health Level Seven, Inc. Everyday within Australia and around the world, health workers use HL7 as the means of communicating accurately the meaning of medical messages. HL7 as an open standard allows communication between a variety of providers on any software or hardware platform. HL7 is the means by which millions of pathology messages are delivered electronically to practices all over the country, and all over the world. rxhealthcare supports the HL-7 standard and has integrated it into all its products and services.
Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA)
rxhealthcare supports key industry bodies that seek to enhance the quality and delivery of healthcare software products and services. HISA has for many years sought to improve healthcare through health informatics through providing a national focus for health informatics, its practitioners, industry and users; advocating on behalf of its members and providing opportunities for learning and professional development in health informatics.
Medical Software Industry Association (MSIA)
rxhealthcare supports the MSIA’s role in the healthcare software and services industry as an advocate for healthcare software vendors. With the increase in government Health Information Management initiatives such as Health Online, MSIA has become increasingly active in representing the interests of all healthcare software providers. It is representative on a range of forums, working groups and committees on behalf of its members, and has negotiated a range of important changes with government and other stakeholders. It has built a considerable profile with State and Commonwealth Health Departments and is now acknowledged as the official “voice” for the industry.
